Chimney Rock Arrowhead Cabernet Sauvingon 2015
The winemaking team has devoted years to optimizing this diminutive little stretch of land, and the results are wondrous.
If you were to travel in time to Napa in the 1700's you would have found the Wappo tribe hunting and gathering in the hills above what is now known as our Arrowhead Vineyard. In developing our vineyards, we discovered several Wappo artifacts, including some arrowheads. The name Wappo is an Americanization of the Spanish term guapo, which means among other things, "brave."
In naming our vineyards, we found is paramount to celebrate the people that lived on our land before us. We honor their memory both in the way we cultivate our land sustainably and with our commitment to leave this land in a pristine condition for many generations to come. Enjoy this ethereal Cabernet and help us honor the "brave."
AROMA: Aromas of cherry and clove with a hint of vanilla.
FLAVOR: Rich and full on the front palate, this wine is medium bodied. Fine grain tannins and a plush mid palate lead to bright acidity which gives this wine beautiful texture.
