At Chimney Rock back in the early nineties, we established the tradition of crafting single variety dry Rosés. In 2017 our winemaking team took on the challenge of crafting a blended rosé similar in philosophy, texture, and beauty to our Elevage Blanc and Elevage Rouge. Could we create velvet in the glass in the form of a Rosé? The answer is a resounding, yes!We are delighted to introduce our newest creation – the 2017 Elevage Rosé. Only 127 cases of this rare wine were produced. It is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc and the unctuous mouthfeel of this artfully blended wine is a reminder of why blends are so magical. Enjoy this ethereal delight in the beautiful light of summer!
Tasting Notes: This Rosé provides fresh aromas of strawberry, cherries and white peach interlaced with a light hint of watermelon. This wine is medium bodied and gifts us with a supple round mouthfeel that ends with bright acidity and a lovely lingering finish.
