2017 Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon

The soundtrack of harvest is extremely important to our winemaking team. We enjoy music and we are profoundly aware that every song played in the cellar needs to inspire our wines. If we had to designate a song that perfectly captured the spirit of the 2017 harvest – it would undoubtedly be James Taylor’s “I’ve seen fire and I’ve seen rain.” The 2017 vintage brought us one of the rainiest winters in the last few decades. In addition, on October 8th of that year Napa and Sonoma valleys experienced some of the most devastating wild fires.
