Our Clone 7 Cabernet Sauvignon hails from the northern edge of our estate, nestled against the eastern hills. This vineyard's steep aspect, exposure and the poximity to the glorious Stags Leap District Palisades combine to create the perfect terroir for the birth of ripe and inky Cabernet grapes each year.The fruit grown on this hillside in 2016 exceeded out expectations. This Cabernet is a perfect portrait of its orgin. The texture and power of the tannins, the richness and depth of flavor, the dance of complex aromas, all coexist in this transcendent creation. AROMA: Notes of cherry, plum and cocoa interwoven with notes of vanilla and toffee.
FLAVOR: Lush and rich, this wine has intense structure. Clone 7 is known for its muscular tannin profile but has a beautiful round mid-palate that balances the structure perfectly.
