The Greek word Arete, (pronounced ah-reh-‘tay), has no true translation to English. The closest understanding we have of the word, is the idea of excellence in all things. The idea of the pursuit of excellence resonates deeply with our winemaking team. Every vintage, they set out to pursue their excellence, with whatever set of conditions Mother Nature gives them. The goal is to coax excellence from the vines to tell the truth of place and time in the purest way.
