Dozens of elegantly dressed musicians tune their instruments simultaneously with seemingly no rhyme or reason. Silence ensues. The conductor walks in and shortly thereafter the air explodes with magic. Each distinctive element, often capable of its own masterpiece, quickly shares a harmonious musical sound and heart with its neighbors—transforming the whole into a unified, transcendent experience.This is our dream when creating Elevage. We are blessed with a host of remarkably diverse vineyards, each with a unique personality and expression. Individually, the wines from these blocks often stand alone and boldly announce their single-vineyard distinctions. Through careful composition and blending, we strive to elevate and unify each piece, creating a harmony that gracefully balances the lushness of Merlot with the power of Petit Verdot, the aromatic nuance of Cabernet Franc, with the singular glory of our Cabernet. AROMA: On the nose, this wine is highlighted by aromas of cherry, toffee with hints of violets, potpourri and vanilla.
FLAVOR: The front palate of this wine is rich and deeply textured. The mid-palate is round and the tannins have a good structure with a long, balanced finish.
