2008 Stags Leap District

Cabernet Sauvignon

Chimney Rock’s 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon is a very pleasing, up-front wine graced with expressive varietal fruit, relatively soft tannin and an accessible personality. All of the elements are very nicely balanced in this mid-weight offering. An understated finish rounds things out in style. This is an excellent choice for restaurants or any occasion that requires a bottle to be served without much fuss. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2018.

Absolutely delicious, offering a flood of ripe, sweet blackberry, blueberry, currant, chocolate, anise and spice flavors. Impressive for its savory power, this blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Verdot will easily ride out the next 8-10 years.

It's deeply flavored in blackberries and currants, with the most delicious dark chocolate sweetness. Yet it also has the tannic backbone to last. It's one of those wines you can drink now, or age for at least six years to see what it can do.
